Our Visit to Sheffield’s New Pret A Manger!

Today we visited Pret A Manger, which has just opened up in Sheffield – the first one in the City Centre! We were looking forward to visiting Pret based on previous experiences at this chain of coffee shops, especially when it comes to vegan food – and we weren’t disappointed!

There were several vegan options available, including:

Curried Chickpeas & Mango Chutney Sandwich

Humous & Crunchy Veg Salad Wrap

Dairy-Free Chocolate Chia Pot

Souper Tomato Soup

Butternut Squash Dhansak Soup

We decided to share the Curried Chickpeas & Mango Chutney sandwich, the Souper Tomato soup and the Dairy-Free Chocolate Chia Pot.

The Curried Chickpeas & Mango Chutney was Jay’s favourite whereas Jane really enjoyed the Chia Pot! The soup was really fresh and tasted healthy, whilst warming us up after being in the cold.

The environment is really modern and welcoming and there is lots of seating available, with a downstairs area available as well as seats upstairs onlooking Sheffield’s Cathedral and the end of Fargate. There is also decent wifi available, with an option to sign up to access it for free via your phone or laptop, which is fairly easy to follow, too.

We really enjoyed our visit to Pret and are so happy that there is finally one in the City Centre after always dropping into Pret when we have visited other places such as Manchester, Leeds and London – despite being a chain, the ethical approach alongside a modern and clean setting and environment really suits Sheffield. It is definitely somewhere to check out, especially if you are a Sheffield vegan too! We will be going back soon, that’s for sure.
